 I have gotten my Viasue Timing system just about finished. In keeping with the storability concept initiated with the track, I made the computer aspect of the timing system follow suit. The computer stand is small, compact and is on rollers. So all that has to be done to store it is disconnect and roll it away. All that is left to do is finish the computer stand to match the track. The pictures pretty much sum it up.
 I needed to build some driver's station for the track. They had to be built into the track table. So my first step was to go to my local building supply warehouse to look for ideas and parts to build the stations. Going down the electrical isle I found my solution. I would use the electrical box cover plate.
 For most of us when it comes to space I'm pretty sure it is considered a premium around the house. Therefore, I wanted to build a track that would store easily under a bed or against the wall when not is use.
The most logical answer was a layout table that was fairly light with folding legs. The chances of attaching those metal folding legs directly to a hollow core door and not pulling out are pretty much slim to none. I had to come up with a design that would solve this problem. After some consideration, I decided to inlay four 2 x 4 studs into the door.  I have come up with a way to create neat clean apron edges no matter what the curvature of the track. I though I would share. The pictures pretty much tell the story.
