Jessup Motors Dirt Modified

2/10/2015

I had purchased some more Willys Model Motoring "blems", so I thought I would do another dirt modified. It started out slowly, but as time went on, it came together fairly nicely.

For these type cars I have a lot of material to remove, so I use my tape to define the lines and maintain the symmetry on the car.

After the taping process, it time to remove the material. I use a Dremel motor tool and small files.

Once is roughed in I then strip the paint and continue to fine tune the shape using my files. In addition I continue with sanding and polishing getting ready for the primer. I also use some styrene to shape the nerf bars and front bar.

Now it's time for some primer.

A little paint. I really like two tone cars. It takes a little more effort and time, but I personally like the end result.

On this one I created my own decals. If you would like more information on making your own decals you can look here.

Last touches applied and then clear coated to seal the decals.
